My team decided to tackle the growing epidemic of drunk driving, by creating The Sober Box. It would ideally be placed in bars and people would put their keys in the box and would have to take the breathalyzer test to get them back. If they were over the acceptable limit they would not be able to get their keys back.

The biggest challenge was the coding for the breathalyzer because my team and I didn’t have the technical prowess to do it by ourselves so we got help from our coach. Im very proud of the overall concept of it, because it is a very useful idea and can be very versatile in different situations.

It was very easy to work with my teammates because we had very similar ideas on how it should even though there were some rough patches we got through them very easily. We handle each task in a organized manner, where we would each be assigned to a certain task for the day and we would do and receive the next task. We had an issue decide the look, and whether or not the keys dropping mechanism should be manual or automatic.

Side Scroller Game

I used my planning documents to design my characters and to plan out my game concept. I was playing to create a game where u are a green cube and u are floating over a dangerous ground and you have to avoid obstacles to get to the end. I was only able to create the gravity so that u fall but u can go up. I wasnt able to create a scrolling script but it was suppose to move but move up and down occasionally for variety.

Makey Makey Friendly Games

These games are made by developers and have controls setup to be compatible to a MakeyMakey. I changed the controls in their source codes to make them all have the same controls. I tried to make them display on the actual website, but I had difficulties, so I put down links instead. I had to remap the MakeyMakey as well to the WASD buttons. My idea behind this was to add a fun, experimental way to playing games, so u could have more freedom from using a conventional keyboard.

Makey Makey Mini – Project

My makeymakey project was to be able to write out MIDI into my computer. I reprogramed it to the Q, W, Z, and X letters. Then I translate the typing keyboard to piano on FL Studio (my chosen audio workshop). After that the makeymakey was able to write out melodies, and chords.
